Abstract Winter on Campus

As winter settles over campus this new semester, familiar paths take shape. The Lake Erie snow softens the edges of everyday scenes, and small bursts of color break through the gray that you otherwise may not notice unless you pause to take a look. Through photography and creative design, we reimagine the University of Toledo’s picturesque campus and highlight the details that make winter feel vibrant.

While falling snowflakes can seem magical, the chores of brushing off your car, enduring freezing wind chills and trying not to slip on ice as you walk across campus can make winter seem to drag on. But, to recognize and appreciate the beauty surrounding us, these photos accentuate a little added color against winter’s monochromatic landscape. And with more snow to fall, campus may become more wintery yet.
